The JBL CBT 100LA-LS black line array column loudspeaker is engineered for professional installations requiring both acoustic precision and life-safety compliance. Built with Constant Beamwidth Technology™, it uses advanced analog delay beam-forming and amplitude tapering to achieve uniform vertical coverage while eliminating narrow beaming and unwanted out-of-coverage lobing common in conventional column speakers.

Equipped with sixteen 50 mm (2 in) full-range drivers, the system delivers clear, intelligible sound reproduction for speech and music in large public spaces. Vertical coverage is switchable between 40° for medium-throw applications and 15° for long-throw coverage, while horizontal dispersion remains wide for consistent room coverage. Switchable voicing allows selection between flat music response and enhanced mid-range presence for speech clarity.

The CBT 100LA-LS black is EN54-24 certified for life-safety applications when installed with the included MTC-PC2 terminal panel cover, making it suitable for evacuation systems, public buildings, transport terminals, and safety-critical installations. A built-in 70V/100V transformer with 8-ohm direct capability ensures compatibility with distributed audio systems.

The fiberglass-reinforced ABS enclosure with painted aluminum grille ensures durability, while the included swivel (pan)/tilt wall bracket enables precise aiming and flexible installation. With IP55 outdoor capability when fitted with the optional panel cover, the CBT 100LA-LS black is designed for both indoor and protected outdoor environments, combining safety compliance, reliability, and controlled acoustic performance.
