The JBL AWC62 is a compact and highly durable loudspeaker built for versatile applications where clear speech and accurate music reproduction are essential. Its IP56-rated weatherproof design makes it ideal for use in sports arenas, racetracks, stadiums, fairgrounds, skating rinks, water parks, outdoor paging or background music systems, themed entertainment venues, swimming pools, and numerous other indoor or outdoor locations.
This 2-way coaxial system combines a 6.5-inch Kevlar-reinforced woofer with a 1-inch compression driver, providing natural, balanced sound with impressive clarity. The high-slope crossover ensures consistent coverage and smooth midrange reproduction, while the speaker’s 175-watt continuous power handling enables high SPL performance for medium-scale installations. For flexible integration, the AWC62 operates in either 70V/100V multi-tap mode or direct 8-ohm low-impedance mode.
The enclosure is constructed from heavily braced, glass-reinforced ABS, and the front is protected by a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated steel grille layered with foam and mesh for durability. Mounting is simple and secure with the included U-bracket and secondary safety attachment point, and the input terminals are CE-compliant, water-resistant barrier strips that accommodate a wide range of wiring options.
