The Allen & Heath DX88-P is a compact 96kHz remote I/O expander designed to extend the input, output, and control capabilities of Allen & Heath AHM, SQ, Avantis, and dLive systems. Engineered primarily for fixed installations, the DX88-P provides eight mic/line inputs and eight line outputs through industry-standard Phoenix/Euroblock connectors, making it ideal for conference facilities, educational environments, houses of worship, corporate AV systems, and commercial audio installations.

Each of the eight input channels is equipped with a high-performance microphone preamplifier offering up to +60 dB of gain, selectable phantom power, and a -20 dB input pad for accommodating a wide variety of audio sources. The eight balanced line outputs provide reliable signal distribution for amplifiers, DSP processors, and zone audio systems. High-quality audio circuitry ensures excellent signal integrity and low-noise performance throughout the system.

The DX88-P connects to compatible Allen & Heath hardware using a single Cat5e cable, enabling remote placement up to 100 meters away from the host mixer or processor. A secondary RJ45 port supports cascade mode, allowing additional DX expanders to be daisy-chained for expanded remote I/O capacity. The unit operates with true plug-and-play functionality, requiring no network configuration while automatically receiving firmware updates from the connected system.

Its compact metal enclosure allows easy installation in equipment racks, AV cabinets, or utility spaces. Optional rackmount kits support mounting one or two DX88-P units within a standard 19-inch rack. Designed for reliability, flexibility, and simple deployment, the DX88-P provides an efficient solution for extending analogue audio connectivity in modern installed sound systems.
