The Allen & Heath DT164-W is a professional 16×4 Dante/AES67 audio expander designed to provide remote audio connectivity for Allen & Heath dLive, SQ, Avantis, Qu, and AHM systems. Engineered for fixed installations and distributed audio networks, it delivers high-quality remote I/O through a compact wall-mountable design while maintaining seamless integration with compatible mixing and matrix processing platforms.
The unit features sixteen balanced XLR mic/line inputs equipped with low-noise microphone preamps, individually selectable phantom power, and switchable -20 dB pads for handling a wide range of audio sources. Four balanced XLR line outputs provide reliable signal distribution for installed sound systems. Internal 96kHz converters ensure detailed audio reproduction with excellent clarity and low-latency performance suitable for professional live sound, worship facilities, theaters, educational institutions, and conference venues.
Dual locking EtherCon network ports support Dante and AES67 audio transport, enabling redundant network operation for increased reliability or switched mode for daisy-chaining additional Dante devices. Gain, phantom power, and pad settings can be controlled directly from compatible Allen & Heath mixers, simplifying setup and remote system management.
The DT164-W is designed for installation flexibility, featuring a reversible mounting frame that supports both in-wall and on-wall mounting configurations.
