Bose ControlSpace EX-4ML 4-channel mic/GPIO Dante endpoint
The Bose Professional ControlSpace EX-4ML is a Dante audio endpoint designed to extend microphone inputs and general-purpose control connections away from the main ControlSpace EX rack. Rather than running long analog microphone cables back to a central location, the EX-4ML lets installers place microphone connection points closer to where they are actually needed in a room.
The endpoint provides four channels of microphone or line-level input, converted to Dante audio for transport back to the connected ControlSpace processor over standard network cabling. Alongside the audio channels, general-purpose input and output connections allow the EX-4ML to interface with external control hardware such as buttons, LEDs, or contact closures used in a room’s control scheme.
Power and network connectivity are combined over a single Cat-5/6 cable using PoE, in the same one-cable-from-the-table approach used elsewhere in the ControlSpace EX endpoint family. This keeps installation simple and avoids the need for a separate local power supply at each endpoint location.
Like the related EX-UH and EX-8ML endpoints, the EX-4ML is configured through ControlSpace Designer software, with autodiscovery and auto-routing helping integrators bring new endpoints online quickly. Its low-profile aluminium enclosure and rotatable mounting tabs make it suitable for under-table, wall, or equipment-rack installation depending on the project.
