The JBL AC28 is an ultra-compact, high-performance 2-way loudspeaker designed for professional fixed-installation applications. Manufactured in Mexico, it is part of JBL’s AE Compact family within the AE Series, providing exceptional audio clarity, precise coverage, and versatile mounting options. The AC28 is ideal for venues where high-fidelity sound and consistent coverage are required, including performing arts facilities, auditoriums, houses of worship, and entertainment spaces.

This model features two 205 mm (8-inch) low-frequency transducers paired with a 25 mm (1-inch) exit compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5-inch) voice coil, delivering powerful bass, clear mids, and crisp high frequencies. Its PT™ Progressive Transition rotatable waveguide offers a 120° x 60° coverage pattern, allowing flexible horizontal and vertical orientation for optimized sound distribution. FIR-style tuning and passive crossovers ensure controlled frequency and phase response, providing consistent coverage and high-quality sound across the listening area.

The enclosure is constructed from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood with a black textured finish for durability and professional aesthetics. Dual Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminals allow secure and reliable system connections. Multiple M8 suspension points support mounting with optional U-brackets, MultiMount® brackets, or stand mount accessories.
